In order for Egypt to achieve rapid economic, social and political progress, it needs to significantly increase its stock of capable, productive and innovative human capital. Yet today, higher education in Egypt is producing over 500,000 graduates a year and less than 30% are employed after two years of graduation. Yet, companies are suffering from the lack of talent to hire to fill their growing businesses. The story of unemployment is repeated across the country. By no fault of their own, youth find their self in a tough position where they have trusted the system to prep them for the workforce but they graduated to find a tough reality that will only get worse.
