The Egyptian Association for Sustainable Development It was founded in ( 2012 ) and registered at the Ministry of Social Solidarity under No. 22 The Board consists of a group of experts working on providing climate adaptation mechanisms for rural communities in Upper Egypt. -EASDs headquarter is in Luxor. -It has implemented a number of activities related to building resilience of rural communities to face climate change, including: 1)An intensive training program was conducted to diversify livelihoods, with a focus on women living in Elzanakta village, Luxor. 2)A memorandum of understanding was signed with Armant Sugar Factory to conduct a training program for sugar cane farmers, to raise their awareness of climate adaptation measures. 3)A memorandum of understanding was signed with Luxor Directorate of Agriculture to raise awareness of Luxor wheat farmers of climate adaptation measures. 4)A memorandum of understanding was signed with Luxor Cultural Palace to perform rura...
