ELEVEN 17 IS A REFERENCE TO A BUOY READING OF 11 FEET AT 17 SECONDS Buoys track the movement of the ocean and waves. This combination of numbers, eleven and seventeen, indicates the maximum sized wave the Banzai Pipeline, located on Oahus North Shore can hold before closing out. This combination tells us what is coming: the perfect wave. Our name is a nod to the combination of talent, strategy, and timing that is core to the creative ideation process of Eleven 17. Much like a storm over the water, our process starts with a flurry of ideas and dreams, then refined to create an outcome that is sweeping and powerful.
