Elmdale Welding Supplies Ltd is now a member of the Elmdale Group of companies which boasts a turnover of approx 14.5 million and consists of 3 companies namely Steveweld Ltd of Aberdeen, Eagle Welding Supplies of Stockton on Tees and of course Elmdale which has branches throughout East Anglia. The desire to grow the business both by the original owners and currently by the existing managing director Peter Elms who joined his father in 1972 and took over the reigns in 1992 has seen formation of Steveweld in 1975, the opening of a branch in Lowestoft in 1989, the purchase of Grainger Welding Supplies in 1991, the amalgamation with the newly formed company Eagle Welding Supplies in 1994, the purchase of Anglian Welding Supplies in 2000 and Brook Alloys in 2012.
