On this unique island setting, a forty year-long pioneering nature regeneration project has enabled some of the UKs most vulnerable wildlife to flourish on a landscape scale. Elmley has an ambitious vision for the future, and along with continuing the inspirational biodiversity restoration work, is focusing on climate adaptation projects and carbon capture initiatives through saltmarsh restoration and the creation of new habitats. We are at the heart, a family run farm, and the only independently owned and managed National Nature Reserve in the UK.
