Embu Water & Sanitation Company (EWASCO) - Providing Clean Water & Sanitation Services EWASCO was established in 2003 by the Embu Municipal Council to provide water and sanitation services to Embu County. After becoming operational in 2005, the companys operations were separated from the council in July of that year. EWASCO is now wholly owned by the Embu County Government. Serving four constituencies - Manyatta, Runyenjes, Mbeere South, and Mbeere North - EWASCO relies on the Rupingazi and Thuci intake works for its primary water source, the Kanyuambora supply. Gravitational flow powers the companys water distribution network. Governed by a Board of Directors, EWASCO is committed to strategic leadership, financial oversight, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
