Emitec Technologies GmbH was founded in 1986 as a joint venture between Siemens and GKN. In 2007 after Siemens VDO Automotive was sold to Continental, we became a 50/50 joint venture between Continental and GKN. In 2014 Continental acquired the shares of GKN and we became part of the powertrain division of Continental AG, afterwards renamed into Vitesco Technologies. Now we belong to the Dubag Group, which has allowed us to become independent again as Emitec Technologies GmbH providing innovative technologies and solutions not only for emission control. Over the years Emitec has been a world leader in the development of highly innovative metal substrates forming the backbone of our one step ahead solutions for automotive and non-automotive emission reduction solutions.
