Founded in 1971 by Abbe Pierre, Emmaus International is a movement based on solidarity, which fights against poverty and exclusion. It brings together 350 organisations in 37 countries, spread over four continents. Although these organisations exist in very different social, economic and political contexts, they share the values of welcoming those in need, solidarity, openness, respect and sharing.
