Empire was founded in 2010 by Dr. Walter Kwok, one of Hong Kongs most influential and insightful business leaders and thinkers. During Chinas most prosperous imperial periods, everyone had a role, and social mobility and progress was encouraged. Dr Kwok named his company Empire in recognition of these values. Managed by an experienced team of industry professionals, Empire Group assets are allocated across a wide range of regions, industries and classes, including completed and ongoing real estate projects, public market securities, private equity, and venture capital. The Group is also dedicated to being a responsible and positive player in society. Via the Walter & Wendy Kwok Family Foundation, Empire Group is a long-time supporter of a number of charitable initiatives that offer services and resources to the underprivileged in Hong Kong, including Foodlink Foundation and Suicide Prevention Services.
