EmpoderaClima

Launched in 2019, EmpoderaClima is a Brazil-based, youth-led initiative created to raise awareness of the disproportionate impacts of climate change that girls and women face in the Global South, as well as the need for womens leadership in climate action. Our database, with both original and curated content in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, serves as a resource about gender and climate for everyone who usually doesnt have access to materials about climate justice in their native languages. EmpoderaClima is also a leader in global advocacy for gender-just climate action, both through partnerships with movements all over the globe, high-level events, and projects on climate education.
