ENA Energi AB produces all heat and electricity from renewable Energy. Fossil fuels belongs to the history. ENA Energy supplies all heat necessary to heat all houses and all tap water in Enkoping. The combined heat and power station (CHP) also produce the mayor part of the electricity demand in the town. The company is owned by the municipality so the profit goes to the people living in the region. Enkoping is a small Swedish town with a little bit more than 20000 inhabitants. The winter is normally quite cold with an average temperature in February at about 4 C. To keep a reasonable indoor climate we supply about 220 000 MWh of heat over the year. In the CHP we also produce about 100 000 MWh of electricity yearly. We use waste material from the forest industry and about 15% short rotation crops that we call Salix.
