Energy Commission of Sabah

Energy Commission of Sabah (ECoS) is established on 10th January 2023 upon the gazettement of the Energy Commission of Sabah Enactment 2023. ECoS is a statutory body of the State Government of Sabah and is the States regulator for the energy sector under the Chief Minister portfolio, as the Minister in Charge. The body aims to deliver secure, sustainable, affordable and accessible energy for the State of Sabah. ECoSs regulatory scope covers On-Shore Gas Supply and Electricity Supply (including Renewable Energy). ECoS has taken over the regulatory authority for on-shore gas supply in Sabah after the Gas Supply Enactment 2023 was passed in the State Legislative Assembly on 10th January 2023.
