Erasmus Student Network Romania

Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is one of the biggest interdisciplinary student associations in Europe. It was founded on 16th of October 1989, for supporting and developing student exchanges. ESN works for the creation of a more mobile and flexible education environment, by supporting and developing the student exchanges, providing also an intercultural experience to those students who cannot access a study abroad period (internationalization at home). ESN Romania was founded in 2004 and nowadays it has 14 local sections, in the most important cities of the country: Alba-Iulia, Bacau, Brasov, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Craiova, Iasi, Sibiu, Suceava, Targu Mures and Timisoara, as well as one candidate section in Oradea. ESN Romania has over 300 volunteers who carry out projects for the approximately 1500 foreign students who came to Romania through the Erasmus + program and for many Romanian students who participate in international educational mobilities
