Since 1911 the Dutch national heritage organisation Bond Heemschut is the private organisation for the protection of the historically built environment and cultural landscapes in the Netherlands. The organisation is independent from the government and derives its income mainly from its members and through donations. The organisation has 13 representations, in the 12 provinces and in the capital Amsterdam, and its activities are run by the members. Our main goal is to safeguard the historical dimension of our cities and our countryside for the benefit of a safe, diverse, meaningful, sustainable and liveable place to live, work and relax
