It was in 1966, and more specifically on June 6, 1966, that Gerard Lehmann officially registered the name Est-Menager S.A. to replace his small general electricity company, Electricite Gerard Lehmann. From then on, his wife Marie-Anne joined him in the adventure and a small team was created and set up in the center of Boersch (67), a few kilometers from Obernai. In the 70s, the company quickly extended its electrical activity to household appliances and heating. In the permanent search for innovative and reliable solutions, Gerard Lehmann surrounds himself with competent and expert people, such as a heating engineer for the heating part. This master electrician, entrepreneur at heart, seized the opportunities offered to him and surfed on the wave of oil heating and the first automatic oil stoves.
