Estonian Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU)

Estonian FIU prevents money laundering, financing terrorism and evading financial sanctions. It analyses financial data, cooperates with investigative authorities and other FIUs, defines and notifies about the risks and typologies. Estonian FIU is also a supervisory authority for obliged entities. Throughout enforcing the given mandate our values determine us to be trustworthy, decisive and intelligent. Financial Intelligence Unit function in Estonia was established in 1999 within the Police Board.
