The ETEA Foundation is the Development Institute of University Loyola, a social initiative of the Society of Jesus. Within the context of the Society of Jesus mission to serve and promote justice, especially in border areas, we are focused on promoting humane, comprehensive, inclusive and sustainable development which is characterized by solidarity and linked to SDGs through research and scientific work that examines reality in all its dimensions. After more than 30 years of encouraging development research, our institution plays a key role in building a global university open to the world, combining teaching and research with cooperation and development interventions. Building on the know-how and experience in cooperation and development acquired by the foundation in Europe, Latin America, South East Asia and Maghreb, we want to foster investigation as a way of learning from interventions and to boost their positive effects.
