Ethiopian Midwivies Association

EMwA undertakes a variety of projects throughout Ethiopia to improve health outcomes. Current projects include participating in the Ministry of Healths National Action Plan on Advocacy in Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health; conducting professional training for pre-service and in-service midwives; promoting midwifery as a career option for students; and representing the interests and rights of its members. All EMA activities are aimed at increasing awareness of maternal and child health and improving the quality of care available for these vulnerable groups
