European Music Council

The European Music Council (EMC) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the development and promotion of all kinds of music in Europe. It is a network of networks involved in the fields of music education, creation, performance, documentation, management, publishing and heritage. The EMC is a membership organisation representing all levels of professionalism; from amateurs, to music students, to recognised professional musicians and covering all music genres. The EMC highly values musical diversity and promotes the 5 music rights as proclaimed by the IMC. It provides exceptional value to its members through the analysis of policy developments and formulation of policy statements; capacity building and knowledge exchange, as well as creating networking opportunities within and beyond the music sector on an international platform.
