Evergreen School

Evergreen School is an independent, co-educational Montessori school for children ages 2 to third grade. Evergreens mission is to prepare our students to be independent thinkers, lifetime learners, and responsible citizens in an ever-changing world. At Evergreen, children are loved and known by caring, professional teachers. We offer a calm, organized place to learn and grow. Classrooms are communities that respect each childs learning styles. Founded in 1964 as The Montessori Childrens House in the District of Columbia, Evergreen is dedicated to the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, which recognizes a childs need to learn basic academic skills, observe the environment, do independent work, and cooperate in a community.
