In Mons, the teaching of architecture dates back to the 18th century ; the Royal Academy of Drawing, Painting and Architecture created in 1789 is at the origin of our faculty. Between profession and discipline, her evolution over time undoubtedly places her in the practice of the arts, but today her disciplinary field extends far beyond that. Our approach to training is to transmit artistic sensitivity, technical skills, culture, a look at societal issues with a particular sensitivity to knowledge of land use planning tools and a holistic approach to digital, all subject to a critical sense. We are often asked to define the identity of our Faculty: located in the heart of the City of Mons, heritage is obviously part of its DNA.
