Faculty Association EOS

EOS is the association of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. The Faculty Association is named after Eos, the Goddess of Dawn, and was founded on 27 August 1996. On that particular day, the merger of Mundus (Political Science Association) and Com Laude (Communication Science Association) was a done deal. A new beginning. A new day. A new dawn. Meanwhile, with more than 1300 members, EOS has grown into one of the largest and most active associations of the Vrije Universiteit and the Netherlands. It currently has its XXVIIth board and in the past 25 years the association has developed strongly in all areas. As a faculty association, EOS does not represent one specific study, but we are there for all programmes of the Faculty of Social Sciences. That includes the bachelors programmes in Administrative and Organisational Science, Communication Science, Sociology, Political Science and Cultural Anthropology & Development Sociology.
