Founded in 1953 by then junior college faculty members, the Faculty Association of California Community Colleges has provided community college faculty with a focused voice in government for nearly six decades. From its initial inception in Long Beach as the California Junior College Faculty Council (CJCFC), community college faculty have succeeded in maintaining FACCC as a professional membership association looking out solely for its one constituency.
