The Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology is an internationally recognized institution for the education of a highly skilled personnel required in the fields of forestry, wood processing and furniture production. The intensive development of forestry teaching at university level is related to the year 1898 when the higher education teaching starts at the Academy of Forestry within the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zagreb. Since then, the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology has been constantly growing and systematically developing excellence in education and research in forestry, wood technology and related areas, which is based on the establishment of quality systems, on the transfer and application of knowledge for the welfare and prosperity of all members of the community.
