In 1997, members of the UAW Local 1853 agreed to help sponsor the credit union with the goal of creating a more beneficial and sensible solution to meet the financial needs of the membership. Because of their hard work and initial investment, the credit union continued to thrive. In 2005, The Credit Union Charter was changed to a community charter serving anyone living, working, worshipping or attending school in Williamson or Maury Counties. Family Advantage Federal Credit Union has two locations. The Spring Hill (main) branch is located in the heart of Spring Hill and less than two miles from the General Motors Manufacturing Facility.
