Family Housing Association

Family Housing Association was formed in 1975 by a group of local people who recognised there was a shortage of good quality affordable housing available in the Swansea area for people in housing need. In its early years the Association con-centrated its activities in the Swansea City area and provided rented accommoda-tion through the refurbishment of existing, dilapidated houses in Housing Action Areas and General Improvement Areas. It has since expanded to undertake a wide range of new build and regeneration projects throughout a much wider area of op-eration. The Associations activities are funded through a mixture of public and private finance.
