Since 1987, Family Life Education has been working with and elevating the lives of at-risk, low income families in the Greater Hartford Area. Today, we work with families who are looking to transform their lives and that of their children through our model of self-efficacy. We do so because we have seen the powerful difference this work makes in the lives of the children and families that walk through our doors. We do so because we understand the need to assist youth, women, fathers, and families attain their fullest potential, and adapt a mindset of I can instead of I cant. In August of 2018, we proudly opened the Louise E. Loomis Childrens Wellness Center. We learned a few years prior that 37% of young children in the Greater Hartford area are obese or overweight.
