Faraja Foundation (formerly Faraja Trust) is a Kenyan Non-Profit Organisation located in South B, 10km to the South-Eastern side of Nairobi CBD. It was founded in 1999 by a Swiss Benedictine Priest called Fr. Peter Meienberg for the benefit of the vulnerable members of the society among them women, refugees, and children. Over time, he realized how wanting the living conditions were in prisons when he had to bail out refugees in Nairobis women and male prisons and as a result, prisons became the core focus for Faraja.
