Even though the Czech Republic has an excellent climate for growing fruit and vegetables, it is second to last (Luxembourg is last) among all European countries in per capita fruit and vegetables production. The vast majority of our fresh produce is imported from abroad. But we can change that together. Bezdinek Farm is one of the production greenhouses backed by NWT. Their agro division provides a range of services from design to turnkey construction. Our goal is to produce fresh, flavourful, healthy vegetables without pesticides. Many studies have documented their negative effects on peoples health. The Pesticide-Free label means that when it comes to pesticide content, our vegetables are the same to organic products or baby food. Our greenhouses are hydroponic. The plants are placed in a natural organic substrate made of cocopeat husks, which are composted out of season. The great advantage of hydroponics is how much water and fertilizer it saves.
