FDL designs, develops, produces & distributes Christmas lights for the Retail and Commercial Display markets. In 1986 FDL was the first company to receive the KEMA Approval on mini lights in the Netherlands. (Dutch equivalent to British Standard Approval) In that year the lighting range consisted of 10, 20, 35, 50 and 100 light mini sets, in both clear and multi coloured, 10 items in total. In 1992 FDL opened offices and warehousing facilities in the UK and Ireland, distributing throughout the United Kingdom and Eire a complete lighting collection, with fitted FDL BS approved 3 pin plugs. A lot has changed since those embryonic days! Today FDL is one of the major players in the Western European Christmas lights market. F.D.L. now offers approximately 725 different lighting products, selling into the market under both the FDL brand and Private-Label branding.
