Festus R-VI School District

We exist to partner with parents and community to support students in becoming contributing citizens by expanding knowledge and scholarship and creating learning environments that promote academic excellence. Geography and Description The Festus R-VI School District serves a geographical area of approximately 36 square miles in east central Jefferson County. The district is located in the city of Festus, which has a population of 11,602. The district is comprised of one elementary school (grades K-3), one intermediate school (grades 4-6), one middle school (grades 7-8), and one high school (grades 9-12). History On June 7, 1949, school consolidation was approved by voters in Jefferson County Missouri. The first Board of Education meeting as Reorganized School District R-VI was held on June 30, 1949.
