First Give

First Give is a charity that inspires and equips secondary school students to engage with and support their local community through social action, while also developing essential soft skills. First Give engages a whole year group in a fully-resourced, eight lesson programme. Students establish a social issue they care about, and plan and carry out social action to try and alleviate this in their local community. The students choose and meet with a local charity to find out about what they do. The programme culminates in a large event our First Give facilitated School Final where the groups of students aim to convince a panel of judges that their chosen charity deserves 1,000.
