FirstSolutions is a nationally recognized leader in providing health management services. Our organization was created by people with a vision for high quality service and a focus on personalization. Today, FirstSolutions is known and valued for our service to our customers and commitment to the communities we serve. FirstSolutions was born from the ingenuity and hard work of Two Harbors, Minnesota residents. When the two doctors who ran the local hospital retired, the community was left without a firm health care system in place. The residents organized and purchased the local hospital from the railroad company. They created the Community Health Association (later re-named FirstPlan) in 1944, which became the very first member-owned health cooperative in Minnesota, and third in the nation.
