Since 1956, Fitzgerald Menswear has been a family enterprise rooted in Waterford. Tony Fitzgerald expanded the business, establishing its flagship store on Barronstrand Street, focusing initially on formal attire before diversifying into tailored and casual wear. In 1986, Heroes emerged, targeting a younger market, and subsequently merged with Fitzgerald Menswear outlets in Clonmel and Wexford. This expansion, overseen by Tonys children Brian, Aoife, and Heather, broadened the brands offerings to include boyswear, menswear, and footwear, with a distinct emphasis on communion and confirmation wear. The brand continued to evolve, with Evolution debuting in 2006, catering to casual wear needs, followed by Fitz U in 2007, offering a blend of casual wear, tailoring, and high fashion. Recent developments include the introduction of womenswear and a wedding showroom, reflecting Fitzgerald Menswears commitment to meeting diverse customer needs across generations
