Florida Commission on Offender Review

The Florida Commission on Offender Review is a constitutionally authorized, quasi-judicial body that has served the citizens of Florida since 1941. It is our mission to ensure public safety and to provide victim assistance through the post prison release process. Quick facts about the Commission: Responsible for the careful selection of candidates who are appropriate for parole. Recommends eligible inmates under our supervision to reentry and transitional programming and housing to ensure successful release once their sentence has been served. Holds weekly parole and conditional medical release (CMR) hearings throughout the year, including hearings held throughout the state to encourage participation by victims, victims families, and inmates families who would otherwise not be able to attend.
