Florida Healthcare Plus, Inc. was established in 2004 as a Pre-Paid Health Clinic Plan in response to the growing healthcare needs of lower income families. In September of 2007, Florida Healthcare Plus (FHCP) was granted its Health Care Provider Certificate from the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) and began operations in Miami-Dade County by offering a commercial health plan to individuals and employer groups. In September 2009, FHCP obtained accreditation as a Managed Care Organization from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC) for 3 years. Today Florida Healthcare Plus is a licensed Florida HMO. FHCP is managed by a team of seasoned healthcare industry veterans.
