Fondazione Mascarade Opera

The Mascarade Opera Foundation is an independent nonprofit organisation based in Florence. The foundation currently sustains the Mascarade Opera Studio, a 10 month training course in opera that nurtures exceptionally talented international young artists by providing fully-funded places to eight singers and two repetiteurs each year. The programme is rooted in peak-performance psychology research and uses top-level artistic and career coaching that are vital to the long-term future of these artists. From September 2022 the programme will be expanded and rebranded as Mascarade Emerging Artists. This new programme will be run in collaboration with the Teatro La Fenice Foundation in Venice. Places on the programme will be entirely funded with artists receiving scholarships for their training as well as maintenance and accommodation grants equivalent to entry-level salaried positions in the industry.
