Forest of Avon

Voted Forest of the Year 2023 by our peers, the Forest of Avon is the West of Englands Community Forest - transforming our tree and woodland cover and working with communities across the region to enjoy, learn about and care for their local trees and woodlands in many different ways. Part of the largest environmental regeneration programme in England, through Trees for Climate, the Forest of Avon has brought over 450 hectares, creating hundreds of new tree and woodland sites across the region in just over the past 3 years, working in strong partnership with authorities, landowners, charities and many others. For over 30 years, Englands Community Forests, of which there are now 15, have been working with communities, authorities, Defra and many other partners to transform landscapes in and around our urban areas.
