The VPN is the American Delegation of the Association VERA PIZZA NAPOLETANA an international non-for profit organization founded in the mid 1980s by a group of Neapolitan Pizzaiolos (pizza Makers) seeking to cultivate the culinary art of making Pizza Napoletana. About the Founder: Nick Nitti is of Italian descent living in Italy for many years through out his childhood. As a child Nick remembers taking road trips in Italy with his family stopping in every city and small village cramped in his fathers Fiat Uno, This is where Nick was able to experience the true beauty of the Italian cusine. One day tho while traveling to visit Pompei his father stopped in Napoli and he ate his 1st pizza Napoletana at a small pizzeria in the heart of Naples.
