Frabels Inc. was founded in 1942 by Mr. F.B. Allen of London, England. He arrived in Canada to help raise money for the war effort. His experience in the rhinestone business as the British agent for Swarovski and Czech stones inspired him to sell these items in the Canadian market. Initially selling house wares and dresses as import selections were limited. Gradually, as the war ended, he begun to import rhinestones and beads from Austria and Czechoslovakia into North America.
