Friends of Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites, Inc

Our mission is simple. We partner with, promote and preserve Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites. Our army of around 6,000 volunteers through our network of over 50 chapters statewide works to care for some of Georgias most important treasures. With approximately 25,000 members and generous donors, we support Georgias natural and cultural resources through volunteer efforts and direct financial support. Our volunteers help with traditional volunteer activities such as trail maintenance and facilities upkeep. But we go way beyond these activities. For example, our Chapters in Action program has provided direct funding for almost $1,000,000 in direct financial support to help replace a fire suppression system, upgrade climate control systems for treasured artifacts and to construct new bridges on hiking trails.
