Friends of the Family

Friends of the Family (FOF) is a nonprofit agency serving 25 counties in Iowa Friends of the Familys mission is to provides safe shelter, confidential services, and housing assistance to individuals in crisis due to domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and homelessness. Our services cover 27 counties: Allamakee - Benton - Black Hawk - Bremer - Buchanan - Butler - Cerro Gordo - Chickasaw - Clayton - Delaware - Dubuque - Fayette - Floyd - Franklin - Grundy - Hamilton - Hancock - Howard - Jones - Kossuth - Linn - Mitchell - Tama - Winnebago - Winneshiek - Worth - Wright. Our vision is that EVERYONE HAS A HOME. Our agency employs 55 full and part-time staff and hosts approximately 100 volunteers and interns annually. Since we serve 25 counties across Northeast and Northcentral Iowa, and provide assistance to hundreds of families and individuals, we are a grant funded agency that relies heavily on volunteers and donors to help us extend our reach.
