Fuji Electric (M) Sdn Bhd (FEM) in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah Darul Aman was incorporated in February 1996. Earlier operations included Substrate and Media magnetic disk production. In March 2008, Fuji Electric Semiconductor (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was established for the manufacturing of industrial Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) modules. On 1st April 2015, the magnetic disk and power semiconductor businesses were merged under a single business entity known as Fuji Electric (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. or FEM. Currently, Semiconductor IGBT module is the main product of FEM. In Aug 2021, FE Japan announced a new investment of about JPY25 Billion (RM945 Million) for the expansion of 8 Silicon Wafer in FEM.
