Fundamedios Inc. is a 501 c 3 civil society organization committed to defending Freedom of Expression, Freedom of the Press, and Access to Information, to advance Transparency and Human Rights as pillars of Democracy. The organization is experienced in monitoring, promoting, and protecting freedom of expression and freedom of the press, boosting high-quality reporting, and training journalists. It has performed studies and researches promoting open discussion about journalism, media, and democracy in Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Honduras, Nicaragua, Peru, Venezuela, Uruguay, and the U.S. Fundamedios pursues the defence of democracy, Human Rights and fundamental freedoms by well informed and empowered citizens, so that no one can be silenced for having opposite views or being different. Fundamedios promotes independent journalism throughout the Americas from two independent legal units that work in permanent coordination and leverage from the international team work
