Garhwal Football Club Private Limited

Garhwal FC, formerly known as Garhwal Heroes FC, founded by Mr. Kesar Singh Negi in Delhi, was started as a platform to encourage the youth from the community to play football and to promote the spirit of competition. Gaining in popularity, the club was formally registered with the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) in 1953. The club experienced crowning glory in 1986, when they won the Delhi Senior Division League. An unfortunate turn of events and financial constraints, however, resulted in relegation to lower divisions. In 2001, after being taken over by Mr. BS Negi and Mr. MS Patwal, the club started its ascent once more, from the nadir of the B Division, onto A Division and then finally to the Senior Division in 2005. Strong community support and the spirit to thrive resulted in the club delivering strong results, and reclaiming lost glory by winning the Delhi Senior Division League once again in 2012-13.
