Georgia Innocence Project

GIP is the only independent organization in Georgia focused solely on freeing innocent people from prisons and mitigating the causes and consequences of wrongful convictions. GIP investigates and litigates cases to free and exonerate wrongfully convicted individuals; provides critical reentry and recovery support services to people freed from wrongful imprisonment; and through education and policy reform efforts, works to more efficiently prevent, correct, and remedy wrongful convictions system-wide. GIP has helped free and exonerate people who spent over 275 years in prison for crimes they did not commit, and there is so much more work to do
