GeoZS - Geological Survey of Slovenia

The Geological Survey of Slovenia (Geoloski zavod Slovenije - GeoZS) is a multidisciplinary public research institute that operates in various fields of geoscience and conducts basic research and applied activities in Slovenia and abroad, as well as public services in support of the operation of the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union. The GeoZS acquires, stores, interprets and makes available geological data required by the state and society. We are engaged in research on both national and international levels and cooperate with similar organisations in Slovenia and abroad. The GeoZS takes an active part in various EU programmes focused on sustainable living, climate action, as well as efficient and sustainable use of resources and raw materials.
