The German Athletics Association (DLV) an attractive, fair and innovative athletics federation Counting 850,000 members in 7,753 clubs, the DLV is the biggest athletics federation in the world. It was also one of the founding members of the International Amateur Athletics Federation (IAAF) that represents today 202 member federations worldwide. The DLV is committed to: - the development and organisation of high performance athletics, - the fight against doping, - the implementation of competition rules, - the development of sports for all, - the advanced education of coaches, - the development of athletics for children. - Hosting major athletics events in Germany is another key aspect of the DLV as well as - the enhancement of public awareness through an excellent service for the different types of media.
