Ghella ANZ

Founded in 1894 from humble beginnings, Ghella operates in the construction of large public projects and specialise in underground excavation and tunnelling works. Over the course of 150 years we have built over 130 tunnels and connected more than 1,000 kms of highways, railways and subways. Operating in Australia since 2010 and New Zealand since 2018, we have worked on some of the largest infrastructure projects in the country and have established a recognised presence in the local infrastructure market. Our first project in Australia, Legacy Way, was named Best Tunnelling Project in the World in 2013 and since then we have continued to take on some of the countries most crucial and challenging projects. Our second project was the city-shaping Sydney Metro City and South west project which saw the first ever rail tunnels built under the Sydney Harbour.
