Gillians Place

As one of the first shelters of its kind in Ontario, Gillians place brings over 40 years of experience and expertise in violence against women service in Niagara. Since 1977, Gillians Place has grown from an 8-bed emergency shelter to a multi-site provider of free and confidential services that support women and children who have experienced abuse. These services encompass a 34-bed emergency shelter, a 24/7 phone or text support line, second stage housing, expert counselling, safety planning, child and youth programs, legal advice and information, education and violence prevention programs, and a transitional housing and support program
